A lot of beanbags or badminton birdies in a bucket.

Objective:
Each team tries to collect the most treasure, while the other two teams try to stop them by throwing dodgeballs.

Other Skills:
Coordination
Agility
Set up:
Divide the group into 3 equal teams - teams should have minimum 7 participants.
Set up the boundaries for the game (see attached pdf document for lines).
Need to outline 2 sidelines (blue lines), 1 line at the top (red solid line) and 1 line at the bottom (red dotted line).
Give dodgeballs to each team on the sidelines.
Have a bucket of beanbags set up behind the bottom line (red dotted line).
Step by Step:
1. The participants are divided into 3 equal teams.
2. Teams 1 and 2 will start on the sidelines. Team 1 will stand behind one sideline and Team 2 behind the other sideline (blue lines in document attached)
3. Team 3 will start as the treasure hunt team and will stand behind the top line (red line).
4. On 'Go' team 3 will run from their line to the bottom line (red dotted line) where the bucket of beanbags is located.
5. Their goal is to collect ONE beanbag at a time, and run it back to the starting point and drop it down there, and then run back to collect another beanbag (emphasize importance of only being allowed to bring one bean bag back at a time)
6. The goal of teams 1 and 2, is to prevent team 3 from bringing back the beanbags.
7. When members of team 3 are between the two red lines, they are in the throwing zone, and teams 1 and 2 throw dodgeballs at the them trying to hit them BELOW the shoulders.
8. The throwing teams have to stand behind their line (blue line) when throwing. They can go in front of the line to collect a ball that was thrown, but they cannot throw it until they get back behind their line.
9. When a member of team 3 is hit below the shoulders, they have to run back to the starting line, and then they can continue.
10. If a member of team 3 is hit while running back with a beanbag, they have to drop the beanbag where they were hit and then run back to the starting line.
11. The beanbags that are dropped are still in play, and a member of team 3 can run to where the beanbag was dropped, pick it up, and run it back to behind the starting line.
12. Members of team 3 cannot be hit when they are behind the starting line or the bottom line with the bean bags. As soon as they cross either line, then they are in the throwing zone.
13. Team 3 tries to collect as many beanbags as possible (they only count when they are behind the starting line [solid red line]).
14. Play for a determined amount of time (3-5 minutes).
15. When the time is up, blow the whistle and have all participants stop and drop any beanbags that they were bringing back that did not make it to the line.
16. Count the number of beanbags that were brought to the starting point.
17. Collect all the beanbags and put them back in the bucket.
18. Teams switch roles. Team 2 becomes the running team, team 1 moves over to the other throwing line, and team 3 now goes to where team 1 was and is the other throwing team.
19. Play so all teams get a chance to run.
20. Have fun!
Variations:
Increase or decrease the time allotted for each team.
Increase or decrease the number of dodgeballs used.
If a running participant is hit with a beanbag, have them run back to the bottom line with the beanbag.
