Set up:
Set the boundaries for this game using lines in a gym or creating boundaries with pylons.
Step by Step:
1. Leader will select one participant to start as "It".
2. The rest of the participants scatter around the inside of the boundaries.
3. When the leader says "Go", the game starts and "It" tries to tag the other participants.
4. When a participant is tagged, they join hands with the person who is "It".
5. These two have to run together and cannot let go of each other’s hand. They can both tag participants with their free hand.
6. When they tag another participant, they join hands with one of the participants and now only the two participants on the end can tag with their free hands.
7. Continue until there is only one participant left who is not part of the blob.
8. If a participant steps out of bounds, they are either automatically part of the blob or they have to do 5 jumping jacks and hope they don’t get tagged while do them.
9. Remind participants in the blob to work together and communicate.
Variations:
Start with a blob of two "Its" or start with two "Its" and they create two different blobs.
Play the same way, however, when the blob gets 4 participants, they break into two blobs of two participants. When those blobs get two more, they break into two more blobs of two participants and so on.
