Group Sing-A-Long with Actions

Equipment: Song lyrics for participants (optional).
Audio equipment with songs (optional).
Objective:
Participants sing well-known camp songs and do the designated actions to those songs.
Set up:
Have participants sitting or standing in a circle.
If using audio equipment, have it prepared.
Step by Step:
1. Attached to this activity is a document that has well-known camp songs with lyrics, and actions that participants can do with the songs.
2. The leader will teach the participants the lyrics and actions to the songs.
3. Allow participants to come up with their own actions for the songs.
4. Songs included: If You're Happy and You Know It, My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean, Row, Row, Row Your Boat, Take me Out to the Ball Game, Bottle of Pop.
5. Teach the participants other camp songs and actions, or ask the participants if they know any camp songs (I bet they know tons!).
6. Have fun and sing along!
Variations:
If participants are in a smaller room, alter the actions to accommodate the smaller space. For example, instead of jumping backwards, participants can take a step backwards.
