BINGO Warm Up

Safety Considerations: Make sure participant's shoe laces are tied.
Make sure the ground is level and no obstacles are in the way.
Remind participants to keep their heads up and be aware of their surroundings.

Endurance

Use warm-up activities to prepare children, physically and psychologically, for more vigorous activity.
Warm up with some easy aerobic activities that will gradually elevate the heart rate.
Keep activities simple and move major joints (neck, shoulders, trunk, hip, knee and ankle) through their range of motion.
Avoid deep stretching until muscles are warm. Flexibility can be improved by stretching during cool-down activities.
Set up:
Audio equipment with BINGO song playing (optional).
Step by Step:
Have participants skip or run around the open space, in a circle while singing the song BINGO
When the dog’s name is spelled out slowly, have the children make shapes with their bodies:
B = stretched high and tall
I = wide
N = as low as possible, staying on feet
G = lying face down
O = rollover onto back
3. Participant's get up and start running/skipping around the room again in a circle
Variations:
This activity can be used for younger ages as well.
Instead of skipping or running around, participants could move around the circle on all 4's like a dog.
