Set up:
Divide participants in groups of 5-8 participants.
Have each group stand in a line and around 5 feet away from each other. Could put down cones to mark off where each participant should stand/sit.
Step by Step:
1. All the participants in line are going to be facing in one direction.
2. Have the first participant in each line face the other way so only they can see the leader.
3. The leader will do 5-10 actions in a row one time for those participants to see.
4. Then the first participant will turn around and tell the second participant to turn around to face them.
5. The rest of the participants are still looking the other way, and can have their eyes closed.
6. The first participant then does the 5-10 actions one time (or what they remember the actions to be).
7. Then the first participant sits down and faces the opposite way, the second participant turns around and tells the third participant to turn around.
8. The second participant does the 5-10 actions one time.
9. Then the third participant turns around and so on.
10. Continue until the last participant has seen the 5-10 actions from the second last participant.
11. Then the last participant does the 5-10 actions for the leader and rest of the group.
12. How many did they do right? Is it similar to the original? Were new actions added?
13. Switch the order of the participants.
14. Allow the first participant to create their own sequence of actions.
15. Example of actions:
Jumping jacks
Hop on one foot
Spin
Squat
Heel raise
