Objective:
Participants try to catch as much water in their buckets/pails as they can.
Other Skills:
Coordination
Set up:
Divide participants into groups of 3-4 participants.
Give each participant a bucket/pail.
Have one big bucket filled with water for each group (or one for all the groups).
Have one empty smaller bucket or cup at one end for each group.
Place a pylon for each participant in a straight line and spaced out from the bucket filled with water to the empty bucket/cup at the other end.
Step by Step:
1. One participant from each group will start at the starting pylon or at their group's bucket that is filled with water.
2. One participant from each group will stand at the empty bucket at the other end.
3. The rest of the participants will stand at a pylon.
4. The first participant from each group will fill up their bucket with water.
5. They will toss the water from their bucket to the participant at the next pylon.
6. That participant will try to catch as much water in their bucket/pail as they can.
7. They then turn and throw the water from their bucket to the next participant's bucket.
8. When the last participant catches the water in their pail, they dump it in the empty bucket/pail/cup.
9. As soon as the first participant throws their water, they can scoop up another bucket full and toss it to the next participant when they're ready.
10. Or, after the last participant dumps in their water, they run to the first bucket, and the rest of the participant move up a space. The participants will continue in this pattern.
11. The first group to completely fill their bucket/pail wins.
Variations:
Have more participants in one group.
The last participant has to stand away from the last bucket and they have to throw it in the bucket.
Place a ping pong ball in the last bucket/cup/pail, and the first group to make the ping pong ball fall out of the bucket/cup/pail, wins.
