Set up:
If indoors, make sure all 4 corners of the gym or room are clear of any obstacles or hazards.
If outdoors, put 4 pylons in a large square to designate each corner.
Step by Step:
Each participant starts at the first corner or pylon. Show the participants where the second corner/pylon, the third corner/pylon and champion corner/pylon are located (leader can choose which direction the participants will run in).
On the 'Go' signal, all participants will find a partner to play rock, paper, scissors against.
The winner of each game, will then run to the second corner/pylon, the loser will stay at the first corner/pylon. If there is a tie, they play again.
The winners will play each other at the second corner/pylon, the winner of that game will advance to the third corner/pylon and the loser of that game will run back to the first corner/pylon.
The losers of the first rock, paper, scissors game will stay at the first corner and play the other losers. The winner of that game will advance to the second corner/pylon and the loser will remain there and play again.
When participants win at the third corner, they advance to the champion corner.
They will play other participants in that corner and keep track of how many wins they have at the champion corner.
When they lose a game, they run back to the third pylon/corner, if they lose there they run back to the second corner/pylon and so on.
When participants get back to the champion corner, they continue counting their wins. If a participant had 3 wins at the champion corner, and then lost and had to leave. When they get back, they will continue counting from their 3 previous wins in the champion corner.
At the end of a designated amount of time, the game is over or have a set number of wins that one participant needs to get into order to win the game.
Ask participants who had 5 wins in the champion corner, who had 10 etc...
Note: Remind participants to run, not walk, between each corner/pylon.
Variations:
When a participant loses at the champion corner, they have to run back to the first corner/pylon.
