Set up:
Use lines in the gym or set out pylons to determine the boundaries for the game.
Step by Step:
1. In this game of tag every participant is "It".
2. Have participants spread out around the play area.
3. On the signal "Go", all participants run around trying to tag others while trying to avoid being tagged themselves.
4. When a participant is tagged they get "stuck" in quicksand, and they have to put their hands in the air and slowly crouch to the ground, until eventually they are crouched and sitting on the ground.
5. When the leader yells "You're Free!", all the participants that were tagged are now free from the quicksand and continue to play.
6. Play this way until participants start to get tired, then play until there are two participants left.
Variations:
Throughout the game, the leader calls out ways for participants to move, such as, walk, run, skip and hop.
