Skill: Strike
Time Required: 15
Activity Type: Physical
Group Size: Large Group, Medium Group, Small Group
Age Group: 6 - 9yrs, 9 - 12yrs
Play area: Gymnasium (large indoor space), Outdoor - Field
Safety Considerations: Remind participants to keep the ball on the ground.
Equipment: 1 or more balls, can be the same or different (dodgeball, soccer ball, volleyball etc.)
Objective:
For participants to hit the ball with their hands so it goes through another participant's legs and to prevent the ball from going through theirs.
Other Skills:
Coordination
Set up:
Have all participants standing in a circle, foot to foot with their feet spread out. Each participant has their own goal that is between their legs.
Step by Step:
1. Throw a ball to a participant to begin.
2. All participants will bend over and use their hands to hit the ball through opponent's legs.
3. When a participant gets a ball through an opponent's legs, they score 1 point.
4. Everytime they get scored on, they lose 1 point.
5. The ball cannot be picked up or bounced, it has to be hit on the ground so that it rolls on the ground.
6. Leader can add another ball to the game, and then another if they wish.
7. Play for a designated amount of time.
8. Ask participants how many points they have.
9. Participants cannot move their feet.
Variations:
Divide the participants into smaller groups and have multiple games going on at the same time.
Divide participants into two teams. Have all participants standing in the circle, so that they alternate between a team A participant and then team B participant (should not be next to a participant on the same team). The same rules and goal apply, however, participants only try to score on the other team.

Adaptations (Blindness/Visual Impairment):
Use a ball with a bell inside, or with a plastic bag tied around it, so that participants who are blind or visually impaired can hear it.

Adaptations (Mobility Impairment):
If it is not possible for a person with a mobility limitation to stand or bend, adjust the rules so that they are responsible for defending a given area (e.g., within a metre on either side of them).
