Equipment: 12 pylons per 3 participants (group)
A lot of beanbags (or tennis balls) for each group (10 or so)
1 Hoop for each group
Objective:
For participants to throw and catch the beanbag (or tennis ball) in the correct wacky way, in order to get the most in their hoop at the end.
Other Skills:
Coordination
Set up:
Divide participants into groups of 3.
At the starting end, place 4 pylons in a square-ish shape that is around 5 feet by 5 feet (this is the starting square). Place another square using 4 pylons around 20-30 feet in front of the first one. Then a third square around 20-30 feet in front of the second one. Participants in each group will stand in one square.
At the first square, place a hoop or bucket full of beanbags (or tennis balls for older participants).
Behind the last square, place a hoop.
Make sure the team's are spread and spaced out.
Step by Step:
1. The goal for each group is to pass the beanbag from square to square (participant to participant) until it gets in the hoop.
2. However, each throw and catch is going to have a wacky twist.
3. Before each round, the leader will say how each participant (first, middle and last) will have to throw and/or catch the beanbag. The middle participant will have instructions on how to catch and throw, and the last participant will have instructions on how to catch and put the beanbag in the hoop.
4. For example: The first participant has to throw with their non-dominant hand. The second participant has to catch with their non-dominant hand and then throw it with their eyes closed to the last participant. The last participant has to catch it with both hands and then do a football hut toss to get the beanbag in the hoop.
5. Each group will have the same wacky twists.
6. A list of wacky ways to throw and catch are listed at the bottom of this section.
7. Participants have to stay in their own square while throwing and catching.
8. If they leave their square to catch the beanbag, or miss the beanbag, then they have to throw the beanbag back to the participant who threw it and they try again.
9. If a participant does the wrong wacky throw and/or catch, they have to do it again.
10. If they miss three times in a row, then they continue with the activity as though they caught it.
11. The last participant will always be the one to put the beanbag in the hoop.
12. Once they put the beanbag in the hoop, the first participant can begin the process again.
13. Play until one team has all their beanbags in the final hoop, or for a set amount of time.
14. Have participants switch positions (first to middle, middle to last and last to first), and the leader can switch the wacky twists.
15. Have a wacky ol' time!
16. Wacky Twists:

Throwing:
- Overhand throw with 1 hand or 2 hands.
- Lob throw with 1 hand or 2 hands.
- Throw with non-dominant hand.
- Do a football hut throw (backwards and through legs in a crouched position).
- Turn and throw from behind.
- Throw with their eyes closed.
- Put the beanbag on top of their foot and kick it over.
- Do 5 jumping jacks and then throw.
- Spin twice and then throw (be sure they are on a soft surface for this one, just incase they get too dizzy).
- Throw like a basektball chest pass.
- Place on the top of your hand, and then lob it.
- Throw like a shot put.
- In a seated position.

Catching:
- One hand or 2 hands.
- Non dominant hand.
- However they catch it, they have to throw it just like that.
- Hop on one foot when catching.
- Before the throw, they face the other way, and when the beanbag is thrown, the thrower says "Turn", and they turn to catch it.
- While in a seated position.
- Has to hit off any body part before catching it (hit off knee then catch it).

Beanbag Into Hoop:

- Run and drop it in.
- Throw it in (1 hand, 2 hands, non dominant hand).
- Behind their back.
- Football hut.
- Run around the hoop twice and then drop it in.
- Do lunges around the hoop and then drop it in.
Variations:
Use other equipment to make each sections square, or don't have that boundary aspect, just place one pylon where participants have to throw from.
Allow the first participant to throw the beanbag to the second participant while the last participant is getting the beanbag in the hoop.
Take out the beanbag into the hoop step.
Only have two participants in a group. Or have four, and the fourth can collect any beanbags that were missed.
Create any wacky twist that your creative mind, or participants' wacky minds comes up with!
Adaptations (General):
Have participants incorporate "wacky" throwing and catching techniques which correspond with the abilities and strengths of all participants.
