Sponge Targets and Dry, Dry, Wet

Remind participants to be aware of their surroundings and to keep their head up.
Equipment: Sponges
Buckets of water
Chalk or hoops
Bathing suits or clothing that can get wet.
Objective:
Participants throw sponges at targets and play a game of dry, dry, wet.
Set up:
Have sponges and buckets of water prepared.
Have hoops or chalk prepared as well.
Step by Step:
Targets

1. Using chalk, create targets for participants to aim for.
2. Could make them into circles that are inside each other.
3. Write a point value in each circle or target.
4. Participants take the wet sponge and toss it towards the targets.
5. Participants try to get the most points or a certain amount of points.
6. Draw or put a cone down for the throwing spot.
7. Could divide participants into teams or have it be an individual game.

Dry, Dry, Wet
1. Much like Duck, Duck, Goose, all participants will be sitting in a circle.
2. One participant will start as "it".
3. The participant that is it will take a wet sponge.
4. They'll walk on the outside of the circle holding the sponge above the other participant's heads.
5. When they pass each participant, they will hold the sponge just behind their head and say "Dry".
6. When they go to a participant and squeeze the sponge over them they say "Wet" and drop the sponge and begin to run around the circle.
7. The participant that it selected has to run around on the outside of the circle going the opposite way.
8. The first participant to sit down in the empty space stays there and the other participant remains it or becomes it.
Variations:
Targets: Have an object that participant are trying to hit with the wet sponges.
Wet, Wet, Dry: Have "it" tap each participants head and say "dry" and then squeeze the sponge on the participant for "wet". Participants have to try to tag it before they take their seat.
