Pieces of paper with objects written on them and pieces of paper with body parts written on them.
Bowls/hats
Twister Board (optional)
Objective:
Participants run to the object that was selected and touch it using the body part that was selected.
Other Skills:
Speed
Set up:
Have a twister board, or pieces of paper with objects and body parts written on them.
Place objects outdoors (pylons, chairs and so on) to use.
Step by Step:
1. The leader will spin the Twister board (optional) or pull pieces of paper from bowls/hats to represent objects and body parts.
2. If using a Twister board, each colour will represent an object outdoors.
3. Green can represent a tree, red can represent a bench, yellow can represent a rock and blue can represent a chair or box that is outdoors.
4. Or write these objects on a piece of paper and add more objects, if desired.
5. Write body parts on other pieces of paper and place them in a separate bowl/hat. For normal Twister rules, have: right/left hand, right/left foot. Add additional body parts: Hair, right/left knee, right/left elbow, back, right/left heel and so on.
6. Participants will all start at one central location.
7. The leader will draw or spin for the object and body part.
8. They will say the object and body part (at the same time).
9. Participants have to run to that object and place the body part on the object.
10. Then the leader will draw or spin for another object and body part.
11. When participants have done this a couple times, add in the elimination element.
12. The last participant to put the body part on the object, is out. Play until there is one or two participants remaining.
13. Could divide participants into groups of 4-6 participants. Each group will number themselves off, or they will each have a letter.
14. Each time the leader draws an object and body part, they will also draw one number or letter and only those participants run to the object. Could also draw more than one number/letter for each round.
Variations:
Play indoors and select objects that are in the room.
At the beginning say what colour represents what object, and during the game only say colours and participants have to remember which object it represents.
Participants have to skip/hop/jump/crab walk and other movements to get to each object.
