Activity Type: Physical
Group Size: Large Group, Medium Group, Small Group
Age Group: 6 - 9yrs, 9 - 12yrs, 13+ yrs
Play area: Gymnasium (large indoor space)
Safety Considerations: Ensure groups are spread out.

Equipment: Lines on a gym floor.
3-4 beanbags and 3-4 tennis balls per group (of 4).
2 hoops per group.
Objective:
Groups work together and hop on one foot from one end to the other, without stepping on any of the lines.
Other Skills:
Coordination
Set up:
Divide participants into groups of 4 participants.
Have 2 participants on each group start behind the starting line (one end of the gym). A hoop will be placed next to each group with the beanbags placed inside.
Have 1 participant from each group stand across from their group members at the centre line.
Have 1 participant stand at the line on the other end of the gym and across from their group. A hoop will be placed at this end as well, but tennis balls will be placed in this hoop.
The first participant at the starting line for each group will start with one beanbag in hand.
Step by Step:
1. The goal for each group is to transfer all the beanbags to the hoop at the end line, and all of the tennis balls to the starting hoop.
2. The first participant at the starting line will have one beanbag in hand.
3. When the activity begins, they will hop on one foot to the middle participant.
4. They have to hop over all the lines on the floor. If they touch a line, they will have to back to the start and go again. Have a judge or referee that is making sure participants do not step on the lines.
5. When they get to the middle, the middle participant takes the beanbag and the first participant stays at the middle line.
6. The participant that just got the beanbag will then hop to the participant at the end line.
7. When they get there, they place the beanbag in the hoop with tennis balls.
8. The participant that was waiting at the line will take a tennis ball and hop to the middle participant.
9. When they get to the middle, they will give the tennis ball to that participant, and they will stay at the middle line.
10. The participant that just got the tennis ball will hop to the starting line and place the tennis ball in the beanbag hoop.
11. The fourth participant will take a beanbag and hop to the middle participant.
12. Continue this process until all the beanbags are in the hoop at the end, and all of the tennis ball are at the starting hoop.
Variations:
Allow participants to jump or take big steps instead of hopping.
If some sections of the gym have more lines than others, then place skipping ropes, pylons and other obstacles for groups to avoid.
Have more participants in each group.
Participants only hop to the middle and then back to the starting line, or have participants go along the width of the floor.
No hopping or jumping, participants will run on their tip-toes.
